TeamGlance

Privacy

Built for distributed teams. Not for surveillance.

The list below is the schema. Every field we receive on our servers is enumerated here. Everything not listed is not collected — there is no code path on the desktop agent or in the web app that captures it.

What we never collect

  • ×Window titles or active app names
  • ×Browser URLs, tab titles, or tab counts
  • ×Keystrokes, mouse heatmaps, or screen recordings
  • ×Screenshots or OCR'd content of any kind
  • ×Calendar event titles, descriptions, attendees, or locations
  • ×File paths, project paths, or document names
  • ×Slack / Teams message content

What we do collect

  • task_key + titleFrom the issue you selected (e.g. TG-241 + first line)
  • statusonline / focus / meeting / away / offline
  • heartbeatPeriodic ping from the desktop agent so we know you're reachable
  • task_eventsAn audit trail of switches so time tracking is reconstructable
  • aggregate countsTotal agent events per day, for support — never event content
  • account basicsEmail, display name, timezone, avatar (optional)

A note on intent

We built TeamGlance because we wanted a tool that worked for engineers, not against them. The schema is short on purpose — once a field exists, somebody will eventually be tempted to query it. If you ever spot a discrepancy between what's here and what we collect in practice, write to hello@teamglance.app. We treat that as a bug.
